WHEN WILL PUNY HUMANS REALIZE HOW MUCH POWER GOD HAS?
KATRINA AND RITA COMBINED ARE JUST A SMALL FLIP OF HIS LITTLE FINGER!
Could this POSSIBLY His way of saying that He's displeased with the abomination called Mardi Gras?
Could this POSSIBLY be His way of saying that He's displeased with America's treatment of Israel?
APOCALYPSE NOW

BUT WHO MAY ABIDE THE DAY OF HIS COMING? AND WHO SHALL STAND WHEN HE APPEARS? FOR HE IS LIKE A REFINER'S FIRE, AND LIKE FULLERS' SOAP... (Mal. 3:2)
The stupidity, the egotism, the vanity of humans never ceases to amaze me. Their insignificance in the face of "Mother Nature’s" power and wrath is completely lost in their "we can do anything" attitude.

Building ramshackle huts on beaches with an elevation of five feet above sea level. Straightening and paving rivers. Covering thousands of acres in cities with asphalt and concrete causing runoff to those rivers, and preventing replenishment of groundwater, which causes subsidence (depression of ground level).

Multi-million dollar hotel complexes are included in those ramshackle huts when compared to the immense power of a wall of water 20 feet high with millions of tons of force behind it. Straightening rivers increases their speed. Loss of groundwater can have devastating effects agriculturally, thus financially, and health-wise.

Man’s power is puny, insignificant, trivial compared to the Power behind the power of the sea, the wind, the sun. If we would learn that, and turn to that Power, we might have a future. As it is, we ignore and turn from that Power more and more. We turn from His people. We withhold support from them and give it to their enemies.

He said to Abraham, "I will bless them that bless you and curse him that curses you." (Gen. 12:3)

One definition of "curse" is "to cause evil or injury to." Neglecting those people and siding with their enemies obviously causes injury to befall them—physically, economically, spiritually.

A reciprocal curse is befalling this nation for its involvement in the curse on the people and land of Israel. Do the names Charley, Frances, Ivan, Jeanne, and Katrina mean anything to you?

IF MY PEOPLE, WHICH ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SHALL HUMBLE THEMSELVES, AND PRAY, AND SEEK MY FACE, AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS; THEN WILL I HEAR FROM HEAVEN, AND WILL FORGIVE THEIR SIN, AND WILL HEAL THEIR LAND. (2 Chron. 7:14)

?Wicked ways??? Hmmm... The term "Mardi Gras" comes to mind, also.

---- YESHUA OF NAZARETH WAS NOT BORN ON DECEMBER 25.
